Designed and manufactured by Bombardier, A Canadian corporation founded in 1942, which ranks first as a supplier of transportation equipment on rail systems and related services, and third place as a manufacturer of civil aircraft in the world.  The torch of Olympic Winter Games 2010 based on the contours of the Canadian winter landscape, its overall design symbolizing the tracks left in snow and ice in winter sports.

As for the fuel, it’s a mixture of propane and isobutane which allows the flame to burn at temperatures colder than any other torch in Olympic history. A vent on the side of the torch, allowing the Olympic flame to deploy such a flag. There were 12,000 of these gorgeous torches hand-assembled in Montréal, one for each carrier.
